Née en 1968, Sandra Ancelot est plasticienne et performeuse.
 Elle considère l’art comme une expérience en forme d’écosystème. Sa pratique la conduite à intégrer toujours plus amplement la notion du mouvement qui, pour elle, est porteuse d’un geste dessiné. Elle développe le « dessin aérien» et met en place un langage graphique, dont le point de départ du trait correspond à un point d’ancrage dans le corps en mouvement. Elle génère des projets qui conjuguent plusieurs formes d’expression et de réflexion, cherchant, au travers de l’hybridation, à questionner et observer la capacité d’entendement et de perception. Elle propose dans ce sens la « Conférence Illustrée », traduction immédiate de la parole philosophique en un dessin vertical aérien, des conférences/performances autour de la question des processus de la fabrication de l’oeuvre. Depuis 1999, elle s’est engagée dans l’enseignement en partageant ses champs d’investigations et ses modes opératoires.

Born in 1968, Sandra Ancelot is an artist and performer. She thinks art as an experience. The artist generates projects that combine several forms of expressions and reflections, seeking, through hybridization, to question and observe the capacity of understanding and the phenomenums of perception. Her work questions the notions of « habitation » (living and the posture of being present), from the intimate spheres to the surrounding places. She focuses her research on the study of creation processes by giving conferences / performances. Through drawing actions she seeks to re-enchant the environment. Her encounter with the contemporary circus in 2010, opens a new field of exploration and expression.

For Marseille, Capital of culture in 2013, she proposed the « Illustrated Conference », an immediate translation of the philosophical word into a drawn gesture, a monumental aerial drawing on a vertical wall. As a result of this creation Sandra founded the collective Dessin envolé. This collective creates performances called « aerial drawing », in which flights are actuated by a mechanism of the human counterweight. The « Collective Dessin envolé » are made up of, performers, circus artists, architects, researchers and sound engineers. Sandra sets up a research and experimentation center within the collective, focusing on the relationship between space, perceptual bodies and mobile designs, which she calls « drawn movements ». Sandra is committed in teaching and research, sharing her fields of investigation and operating procedures.
